This book was such a big disappointment that it basically completely turned me off reading for a while. The cover made me expect a creepy, gothic, perhaps even horror story... Which this book decisively is not. It's YA, and a bad example of it, with incredibly unlikeable characters and an annoying, dumb and offensive protagonist.
